:Minis in Winter:
Take it from a cold-blooded creature, you can wear mini skirts in winter!
Stella had a sleepover on Saturday night. And while CJ and I are deep in #DryJanuary mode, we still like to take advantage of the time we have just for us. We decided to try out Fairlane in Mt. Lebanon*, which meant we were legit going on a date. I’m definitely having a moment with my closet when I feel like everything sucks. I tried keeping it simple by doing all black, including a pair of jeans. But I just didn’t feel right. I recently got this mini skirt from Reformation and I decided to take a chance.
How did this always-cold gal make it through? Knee-high boots with proper knee-high socks, a blazer for some extra coverage and a longish faux fur coat on top. When I was fully buttoned, I felt perfectly warm! Yeah, I’m just as shocked. While I wouldn’t want to stand outside for hours on end in this ensemble, it worked perfectly for an impromptu date night when I went from car to restaurant and back to car seamlessly.
