Community Choice

It’s been a minute since I’ve done a Community Choice. Lately I’ve been missing the frequency with which I used to post on SWF. Detailing the almost mundane happenings from my days, documenting how my life moved on a microscopic level. While I don’t think I will ever feel compelled to post daily again, I do want to jump on here more often to share random thoughts. One of my favorite features from my old blog was the weekly Community Choice poll. Now that I have a functioning ring light (there’s a story there, but it’s pretty boring so we’ll let that dog lie) I feel like I can more easily pull together posts on the fly. I know a lot of my old readers loved this feature, so let’s pick it up again and see how this goes!

For those of you who didn’t know me in my former life, Community Choice works thusly: I choose an item that I want to wear and then I build three different outfits around that one piece. You all get to vote on which of the three you like the best and then I will wear the winner later in the week. Easy peasy. Are you ready? Let’s do this.

This week’s Community Choice is based on one of my absolute favorite pieces - a black slip dress. It’s really easy to assume a slip dress is for evening only. But I love flipping it on its head and making it more office appropriate. Bear in mind, I work in an uber casual office. So I can have some fun with my outfits. But I think some of these mixes are pretty conservative and could work in a slightly stricter office.
