Casual dressing can be tough for me. A lot of the bloggers I love have these incredible casual looks. But they weigh as much as I do on a frame that's 7" taller. So the ensembles that I really want to test out end up falling flat on me. I've talked about my one step to feeling dressed up and I stand by that assessment. But sometimes, I just don't want to walk around on the balls of my feet.

This combo is balancing on the knife edge of too much soccer in my mom. What keeps it just this side of the suburbs is the deep v, the luscious velvet slides with the cheeky peacocks and the bag with an architectural shape. I don't know everything about fashion but I know a lot about what I like. And I've found if I'm wearing slouchier, casual clothes, it helps to punctuate everything with sleek accessories. It's not that I want to stand out. But I don't want to blend in either.

It's right about here that I settle into my casual attire. Comfortable with a heavy dose of smart attitude.

How do you style some of your favorite casual pieces?

P.S. Speaking of casual, I've always wanted to try joggers. Noting for a Terra Tries series I'm marinating rn.
