:Professional Pajamas | The Jumpsuit:
Jumpsuits, amiright?
You want a piece that goes from day to night, from a backyard BBQs to the big presentation to the C-Suite? Get a straight-forward jumpsuit, either in a solid or a simple print. I'm so digging on this pinstripe piece I picked up from Lula Boutique in Mount Lebanon on a whim. (Lula is on my way to Trader Joe's and I popped in before getting groceries one Sunday about 15 minutes before they closed. See definition of "whim.")
This is exactly what I wore to work the very next day and I got a billion (like two for real though) compliments on this whole look.
Let's review what makes this jumpsuit
work appropriate.
Conservative color/pattern (duh)
A v-neck that isn't too deep
Thick straps that allow for appropriate undergarments
A cinched waist that allows for a clean fit
Let's review what makes this jumpsuit
so comfortable.
A v-neck that isn't too deep
Thick straps that allow for appropriate undergarments
Loose fit with an adjustable tie at the waist for an impromptu lunch with colleagues at Mad Mex for tofu tacos (this has never happened but that's a total lie)
Bottom line, jumpsuits are the new professional pajamas. Paired with a blazer, you can easily take a jumpsuit from day to night and from summer to fall. It's not too late to snatch one up this season. In fact, many of this season's styles are getting moved to the sale rack. So it's actually the best time to stock your closet!
