there was so much to take in at the ModCloth IRL press event on Sunday. but if you have ever visited ModCloth’s online shop, then you know that so much is how they do things. which is part of the reason ModCloth created this IRL tour.

the ModCloth IRL pop-ups have visited all of the IT cities - Austin, DC, Denver, Portland. how fitting that they round out their IRL tour in their birth city, Pittsburgh. so what’s the point? well, despite being an online retailer, ModCloth recognizes that their customer still loves to see, touch and try on the things they’re going to buy. these pop-ups are a great opportunity to get to know the ModCloth brand (if you don’t already) or to establish a deeper connection with a brand that maybe you already love. and you get to do it IN REAL LIFE. what a concept.

the pop-up is set up with samples in a range of sizes from XS through 4X. try on the pieces you love. work with a ModStylist to figure out what the exact right fit is for you. and then order. right from there. any order in the store ships for free. and orders over $150 qualify for free express shipping. you get to take the guess work out of ordering from ModCloth with the bonus of a personal stylist and no extra shipping costs.

a selection of vintage items are available for grabs and some of the items in the shop are available to take home that day (like the Steel City t-shirt that I could not leave without).

i love shopping online. don’t get me wrong. but there’s something about the tactile experience of shopping in person and interacting with the people who love the brand that cannot be matched through a digital order.

the pop-up shop is located at 625 Smithfield Street off the corner of Strawberry Way in downtown Pittsburgh. you have until Sept. 27 to stop by and experience ModCloth IRL. it’s absolutely worth the visit, if for nothing else but to get that taco clutch!
